Impro Group, the leader in the high precision, high complexity and performance-critical castings industry was awarded the Gold prize for “Best-In-Class Casting” at the prestigious ‘2016 China International Foundry Expo.’ The event was held at the International Exhibition Center in Beijing from May 17 to 20, 2016.

Impro was chosen for the award based on a comparison with different casting products. After the careful appraisal and selection by the General Expert Assembly, the super-alloy aviation turbine castings made by Impro Aerospace Components (Wuxi) Co., Ltd received unanimous praise from the experts at the Assembly. The product was recognized for its features such as its overall complex casting structure (inside and outside double-layer structure), large range based on thickness of casting walls (with the minimum wall thickness of 1.27mm and the maximum wall thickness of 19mm), hollow-core construction of blades, high dimensional precision, and stringent non-destructive testing (partially, Class B). The award is a testament to Impro’s comprehensive strength and enhanced reputation in the foundry industry.

More than 1,300 domestic and foreign casting manufacturers/suppliers, foundry equipment suppliers and foundry raw/ancillary materials suppliers from over 30 countries and regions attended the expo.
