Impro Won Grand NEWCAST International Casting Award
June 26, 2019 – The Impro Group was honored with NEWCAST International Casting Award at the International Foundry Trade Fair with Technical Forum (GIFA) and International Trade Fair for Castings with NEWCAST Forum (NEWCAST) in Düsseldorf, Germany on June 26, 2019. As the focus of NEWCAST and one of the three important awards, “Award for the Best Substitution of Another Manufacturing Method” was granted by jury made up of international casting experts to high-horsepower engine manifold, which was developed and manufactured by Impro with investment casting process.
NEWCAST 2019 is hosted by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and is the largest international casting exhibition in the world and held every 4 years. It is concurrently held with GIFA, METEC, and THERMPROCESS from June 25 to 29, 2019, and expected to receive more than 2,000 exhibitors and approximately 78,000 professional visitors.
The award won by Impro was jointly presented by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, the Confederation of German Foundry Industry (BDG) and the Association of German Foundrymen e.V. (VDG), to reward the most innovative and outstanding cast products in the industry worldwide.
Fully leveraging investment casting advantage, combining product functionality, the award winning product was significantly optimized and redesigned by geometry. Compared to the original product design, 66% of part weight is reduced. This design significantly improves production efficiency, reduces cost, in the same time achieving product lightweight.
